Our services are offered thru the Technology Transfer Program Office (TTPO). The TTPO mission is to share, inspire and facilitate the use of technology, systems and know-how.

Technology Transfer Programs

Technology Transfer Program (2T program) offices serve as the clearing house for managing and facilitating technology transfer programs. The 2T program promotes the  knowledge transfer programs with in local industries, regional and central government agencies, universities as well as the diasporas. To accomplish its mission, the 2T Program promotes R&D, stimulate local startups and establish partnerships with international partners to build knowledge based economy.

 

The 2T Program Office support local entrepreneurs with comprehensive business and technical assistance to promote technology startups. The Office works actively in inspiring young entrepreneurs to develop technology based products and services for local consumptions. The office seeks entrepreneurs in universities with innovative ideas in using technologies to create new applications, products and services .

 

​In addition our team performs technology evaluation services. Technologies evaluated by our team members can have tremendous potential for advancing technology usage for economic growth, encourage new technology based startups, enhance the competitiveness of small business, as well as expand areas of exploration and cooperation for all African countries.

The Technology Transfer Program Office works closely with in country and international universities on technology transfer matters.

Government Institution

Liaison 

The Technology Transfer Program Office works closely with local, regional and central government agencies on technology transfer matters.

Local Industries Liaison 

The Technology Transfer Program Office provides experts advices and support local technology companies in developing application that are more conducive to local country needs as well as in promoting in country developed technologies. 

International Partners Liaison 

The Technology Transfer Program Office promotes partnership with foreign IT industries, in identifying new technologies in the private sector that can be utilized by other countries; as well as in facilitating joint projects between private companies to accelerate economic development.

Diaspora Engagement Liaison 

The Technology Transfer Program Office works with Diaspora community on providing their educational and practical experiences and promoting technology transfer matters.

Objectives

To accomplish its mission, the 2T Program Offices:

  • Serve as the focal point for the technology transfer policy

  • Promote the transfer and/or exchange of technology with industry, state and local governments, academia and other federal agencies

  • Assist universities in conducting technology R&D programs that can promote economic development

  • Establish partnerships to transfer new  technology to the nation’s marketplace

  • Conduct assessments of selected R&D projects that may have commercial applications

  • Promote in country developed technologies, processes and services to government agencies and to private industries

  • Participate in international programs to facilitate or stimulate the transfer of technology for the benefit of the African countries.
